A voluptuous curving roof covers this suburban home sited within a lush garden. Spaces flow from one to another, and the line between inside and outside is blurred. Privacy is obtained in this glass pavilion by carefully placed accent walls and a perimeter wall. Arriving to this house through the roundabout is like being transported to paradise. For this project, we wanted to have some fun with form and space. This bungalow sits on a site with some rather large trees at the perimeter, so the undulating roof line curves between them and makes room for a backyard pool. The plan came out looking more Matisse than Mies.
